Friendship…

This is one of my favourite vintage images. I don’t know whether these girls are sisters, but they look as though they share a very strong bond and that’s what true friendship means to me. Diane picked this theme for MMM this week.

This is a 5″x7″ canvas with the fabric collage attached to it. All the fabric is scraps from my stash – so it’s a very ‘green’ piece!! (Hah! Forgive the play on words?!!)

I used distress inks to create the background – cool the way they let the canvas texture show through, isn’t it? :)

  12. What an outstanding piece, Rosie. The two figures are certainly close, whether by blood or by friendship. You can feel the love in the work. I love the use of the canvas, which looks like burlap to me. Really beautiful.
