Gothic arches – Using Trash!

Klaartje is this week’s hostess at GA this week and she challenged us to make an arch using trash! Here’s my arch:

A Love of Chocolate!

It’s funny how some challenges just seem to ‘happen’, isn’t it? I completed my chores this morning and finally succeeded in getting my filing up to date, so off I toddled upstairs, to have a go at ‘arching’!

I used the back of my DD’s valentine card for my arch-base, an old (matt emulsion) paint tube with a sponge over sequin waste onto some hideous pink/purple paper, to mute it a bit! Then I found a scrap of purply fabric, some valentine’s cellophane (also DD’s from the rose her ex- bought her!) and a chocolate wrapper. The beads are from Donna and the image was a freebie download, in just the right colour!

No glue necessary as the paint was sticky enough to hold the cello down while I stitched it in place. I have called it “A Love of Chocolate!”  What a fun challenge Klaartje – thanks! 😉
