Bright colours!

Yes, I know I said I wasn’t going to be doing challenges this week, but I also made this card yesterday to join in with a challenge on CB Forum and it fits beautifully for this week’s Mixed Media Monday, so here it is: 🙂

Girlfriends

The idea was to cut lots of brightly coloured strips of paper and lay them down on a card for a simple, quick card – which I did. Then I just happened to have Third Coast’s “Eyes” to hand, so I stamped that on with colourbox magenta and added the blinging girlfriends sticker. I didn’t like the dark red plain strip at the top, so out came Anita’s mauve 3D gloss paint and I attempted some puffy flowerlets and popped a rainbow bead into each one for the centre.

Oh yes, and more of the same with the red dots on the the lemon pearlescent paper (yuck!). A great way to use up scraps of highly patterned paper which I don’t much like and would probably remain in my scraps file ad infinitum!! Thanks very much, Corinne Brad! 😉

And we have Nikki, the host this week, to thank for the chance to be bold and colourful!

I’m so glad you got to participate this week, it’s great when you can get two for the work of one, isn’t it? This is an interesting technique – and I love the addition of the eyes – they add a little mystery! Diane
