Trish has provided us with an excellent sheet of ‘digital stamps’ to use in this challenge. Click HERE to download and play yourself. I have made this scalloped Circle Tag and will be using it as my entry into our first Art Lottery on Next Generation Stampers.

The idea is that those of us taking part make something with the theme ‘B’ this month, add a pic to the Art Lottery Album and on June 22nd, Trish will use the random number generator to pick a winner and the lucky devil gets all our art sent to them! Needless to say, we all have our fingers crossed!! So here’s my “Beautiful Blue Background” tag!!

I grunged the scallop circle with Brilliance black ink, swiped Perfect Medium around the edges where the square image sits and brushed on some Kiwi Perfect Pearls. (If you look closely, you can see it glimmer!) The image is ‘stamped’ onto a sheet of blue/mauve watercolour ‘poured paint’ background paper (that’s a whole bunch of adjectives!), which was salted and clingfilmed! I swiped more of the Perfect Medium round the edges of the square and brushed more Kiwi pearls round them.

To make her ‘pop’, I also edged the square with purple ink and the scallop with blue. I attached her with PM mauve brads and made her a blue bead necklace and put a blue flat-back flower gem in her hair. The fancy blue ribbon is a RAK from Fi last year! I’m so miserly with my ribbons – never waste a scrap!!

This looks much prettier in real life as you can see the shades of the background paper much better! I also made a couple of birthday cards this evening for the List on Auntys Forum, so will be posting them off tomorrow, along with a little something inside them!! Can’t show till next week though, so you’ll just have to wait!! 😉

  6. This is beautiful, Rosie! Now I’m wanting to play with digital stamps again! So much to do, so little time… And do we think alike?? Those pics I posted with the kids at JoAnn…well, I was there to buy the perfect medium and perfect pearls that I used in my uncharacteristically (lol) subdued card! My first time using them. Your piece is lovely! I hope you win the album so you’ll get your gorgeous artwork back! But lucky anyone who wins this!!
