Happy 4th July!

Thats’ the “Weekend Taggers” theme this week and I had fun adding layers to this little tag. It’s amazing how much stuff you can build onto a plain shipping tag if your muse is pointing you in that direction!

I used distress inks and heart-shaped punchinella (thanks Ali!) to make the background, sponged over hearts CB folder, sanded down. Pure grunge and inky fingers. The red, white and blues are present too and the images are from very old stash, found at a car boot sale! Lucky me!

Seriously, to all of you celebrating Independence Day***, have a great 4th July and Holiday Weekend! xoxoxo

*** Great film and I love Will Smith to bits! Can’t wait to see his latest release!

  1. Such a lovely tag. I love it.

  2. Ooooh, I’m so glad you went on a stash hunt – you’re so right, it’s amazing what you find and tags are perfect for using up bits of scraps you have lying around! This is wonderful Rosie, fabulously apt and very beautifully constructed – I LOVE the planner – wish I’d thought to punch the sides of mine, yours is so much more effective! Thanks for playing again, you’re a star!! ;o) xx

  5. Very nice. I would have tried to trim the edges of that torn page, but it adds so much character.

  6. This is beautiful, Rosie! What wonderful elements —and so many all in one tag! Gorgeous collaged tag! And more Dymo tape! Hooray for you!
