Crow-ing a Party!

Yep, the Diva Impressions Crows are th(c)rowing a Party… and everyone’s invited! Seriously, the Weekend Taggers want an unusually-shaped tag and Saturday’s Workout is to use a sponge technique, so I combined them and made this chipboard tag bookmark and an ATC for Halloween.

These crows look so shabby, it’s as if they’ve been sprayed with webbing stuff! I managed that texture by heating liquid gloss till it popped!! I then picked off the excess to leave them looking scruffy!!!! I’ll try anything once!

I really like the sinister look of this image and I gave the Cat white eyes… as if he’s dead!!! I think I’m in ‘Grimm’ mood today!

You really have a way with backgrounds, Rosie. They are gorgeous. I love the way you picked out the crows to make them scruffy!

  2. These are FAB Rosie!!! That second one scares the pants off me because she looks like the Nun who taught us French in 2nd Year and she was evil!!! LOL!! Your tag is Wonderful – I love crows and these are fabulous stamps – I love those little hats on the smaller ones and the fibres are absolutely perfect with it! Now going back to Sister Frances, I can see a few words on there that describe her perfectly!! LOL!!! Wonderful as always, and thank you sooo much once more for playing along – Oh, and we say nice things because you give us wonderful stuff to ogle and be inspired by! :oD xx

  11. Ditto everything Anne said (though not about the nuns, I’ve never encountered them, scary, evil or otherwise lol!)

Love the “dead” cat on your halloween piece lol!! Love your tag, great contrast of bright fibres with black ones and black stamping … great addition of the little charm too! It’s always a pleasure to visit your blog, that’s why we say such nice things 😀 Thanks SO much for taking part again!

  14. I LOVE them both!! I’m going to be heating up my gloss tomorrow till it pops!! Those crows are fabulous, and if you don’t mind telling me, I’d love to know more about their background. Is what looks like a tree of dried branches and twigs a stamp? Or several stamps? However you achieved that look, it is wonderful!! And I’ve really fallen in love with your ATC!! The bottom portion, where her blouse is, almost looks a bit like an ink blot! Don’t ask me what I see in there, I’m afraid it might reveal too much of my psyche!!! LOL!!
