A card for my MIL!

Created by Hand have challenged us to make a ‘Pin-back card’ following their sketch and I’ve combined this with the ‘Vintage’ theme from Artygirlz, to make a birthday card for my MIL. I enjoyed this, even if it was a bit fiddly!

Stamp: Inkainkadoo – Ann Houser – Heart & Soul; Digital image – DCS; papers – magazine freebie; and a bit of muslin instead of ribbon. Is it me, or does it look a bit gruesome?!! I blame the Fired Brick ink!!

Well anyway, we’ll see what MIL makes of it!

  3. Oh, I love it!! And gruesome? I’m not sure I’d call it that….perhaps a bit Edgar Allan Poe-ish…but that could be the fired brick with the black, and the photos….and I thought there was a raven in it, but when I went back for a second look, it’s not there….I LOVE it! And so should your MIL, unless she’s the “all things frilly” type. I think from time to time it’s fun to do something a bit fiddly! Hones-in the crafty side of things!! This is great, Rosie!!

  4. Rosie, I think it’s a great card. I can’t tell that there is any improvising. (We have to do what we have to do, right?) And I definitely don’t think that it’s gruesome.

  14. Rosie, I love your card – the muslin is inspirational – it really looks fantastic – I don’t think it’s gruesome – more gothic . Love the stamp too.
