Now Lisa Gifford (Step Outside Your Box) is always pushing my envelope, which is great! On Saturday she posted a challenge asking how colourful we can be? Well, remember I have this thing for mulberry paper at the moment, and I happen to have large 12″x12″ sheets in 4 or 5 primary-type colours that I couldn’t imagine using together… till this evening. So I have made a rather interesting collage – Fluffy or frightening? Soft or sinister… or all of the above?!!
It doesn’t really matter – it helped me to unwind after an extremely hectic day. (Do I have any other kind?!)
So, the collage images – which may look odd as I printed them out onto striped scrapbook paper to see what would happen! – are from Kelly & Ian at Collage Visions (one of the Halloween sheets); the crow stamps and Journey are by Diva Impressions (hurry back Beth!) and the bat is from TandaStamps Minis Halloween collection – fab, isn’t he?
I used Briiliance Encore copper ink for the hearts and black microbeads to embellish. I experimented with red 3D paint to see if I could make blood drops (shock, horror!), but it was too pink a red… so I used the black beads. I’m going to put this in the window on October 31st to scare the kids away!!
I had a very busy day as I went in to work with Margaret at the Scrapstore all day! She had had people donating ‘stuff’ last week and 2 large orders of supplies had arrived, plus she has admin to sort out, so I made myself useful and met some lovely people into the bargain! I came home with an enormous bag of bits of fabric, glue spreaders, ball chains, card, paper and some oddments – and I bought some sheets of tissue paper and some old dress patterns to try making some Fabric Paper with! Tomorrow will be fun – total Art day… I am starting to alter a child’s Board Book as an ongoing project on Next Generation Stampers, under the expert tutelage of Ms Bee! How exciting!! 🙂
