‘Colour is my obsession’ is this week’s theme at This Thursday, it’s all about… So I was asked to step up and make some examples using collage sheets from Lisa’s Altered Art. These were rather fun to work with and I got a bit carried away with my sense of humour (as usual!!) Firstly I used the lid of a baked beans can to produce a hanging folly…I used this delightful little chap in conjunction with the running man and the bat:
He looks too cute to really turn little men into bats, doesn’t he?!! Then I had some fun with a girl with “that” expression on her face…
I got quite inspired by the word tiles sheet, as you can see! Lastly I made an ATC using some spatter-painted background cardstock I made a while ago. I liked the coordinating blues of the girl, the wings and that tile.
I did actually bend the wings forward to add a little dimension and they’re attached with glue dots, but that doesn’t photograph well. You’ll have to take my word for it! It’s also pretty obvious (to me, anyway), that I’m no expert with an Exacto knife – my cutting out is a bit raggedy. However, my friend Barbara reckons it just takes (hours of ) practice!
Thanks to Tracey, Susie and Patti for the fun I have had with these images since Monday!!

/ August 14, 2008Lovely creations! All of them. First and second ones brought a chuckle with the boy in the cup and the next one with the sentiment and her hand posture.
The third one the butterfly wings look very real. Great job sista!
