Yay!! WS is back with ‘circles‘ as it’s theme this week. I am having a real headache with my Victorian Romance… I’m in the process of creating a shrine. However, never having made one before, I’m in the throes of design-hell! I will finish it and it will look fine, but till I get to that point, no-one is seeing anything!
However, this evening I had some fun with Sophie, Ernest, Harry and Giles as you’ll see… I found one of my old books very conveniently entitled “The Rivals” of Maidenhurst or something, so out came a page! Then I gesso’d the text a bit and stamped my images in Black soot distress ink. The rubber remained deliciously wet after stamping, so they all went onto yellow mulberry paper too for later use. (Waste not, want not!)
Then I used 3 or 4 different ink pads and various lids from jars, tins, glue sticks etc. to make my circles – poor Sophie’s head is spinning! The hanger is attached by staple and brads and is made out of fuse wire, twisted around!
All the images are from my wonderful Home Impressions Victorian Plate and Ria will be receiving this piece in the next batch of mail that I send her. I think she’ll like it! 😉
