Patterns

Wednesday Stamper wants to see what we do with Patterns this week and it’s almost sinful, how much I am enjoying the Art Journalling! Here’s what patterns mean to me:

I created a background with brayered Colorbox palette inks and then added several different patterned stamps using a variety of inks – TH Distress inks – fired brick and black soot, Stazon in olive green, various Whispers inks too… and then added a couple of collage images. The eye, top left, is cut from a friend’s business card. I like it because it’s so striking. The small round face is from a sampler by DCS.

The stamps are Cherry Pie (pixie and diamond) and the Celtic ones are from a grab bag I bought from Sheila Oliver – Manic Stamper and designer for Tandastamps.

  13. Very fun–thanks for sharing. Art journaling grabs your soul and will not let you go back to plain page journaling–for years sometimes! Well, unless you are trying to sell the house and have to keep all spaces ‘clean’ — I say, Play on!
