I adore this Cherry Pie image – I always feel so sad for the angel – as do the children in my Gothic Arch! Chriss Rollins chose this week’s GA theme and I had a little time and energy to create a couple of arches this evening (a welcome break from making pins and earrings!) so I used the cardstock I made from the paper piecing arch challenge a while ago for my background. Then came the children (Crafty Individuals miniatures) and the angel, shadow-stamped in white on black, to create a ghostly silhouette. The words are from my old copy of “A Chrsitmas Carol”…
Could the broken heart belong to the angel??? Awwwww…………. 😉

/ November 18, 2008Hi Rosie,
Beautiful work, as always. I feel the same way about those sad angels. I love the beautiful cemetary angel statuary, but some are soooo sad. I always have to tell myself, Angels can’t possibly feel sadness. They’re too close to God.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments about my work and Etsy shop, and for your input on the parralel planes of existence thing (my fellow “non-Trekkie”). I agree that women seem to be more naturally in touch with this realm.
