Naughty or Nice?

I choose ‘Nice’ for a change, for This Thursday, it’s all about…!! What a great challenge and special because it’s the final one for this year. That’s completely understandable, given the Season and all the added pressures and constraints on our time – bravo, girls!

So here’s my entry, a card I made for lovely friends and neighbours of ours.

I started with a green card blank – magazine freebie – and I used white acrylic paint sponged through punchinella for the 3 sides. Whilst the paint was still wet, I tapped some powder blue artist’s glitter onto it and then left it to dry completely.

I selected the pretty vintage girl image for the greens in it and matted that onto green handmade paper. I used a piece of ice blue vellum embossed with the snowflake CB folder to mount that onto and simply finished it off with some bright green organza ribbon. On the inside, I used the remaining green paper to stamp a message onto and edged that with dark brown fluid chalk ink and stuck it down with dsst. DD then wrote the card out and we hand-delivered it this morning!

The ladies at This Thursday have made some stunning samples using the Cosmo Cricket papers – this week’s challenge prize. Go see and enter – good luck!!

I am always amazed at your cards, as you are able to tie so many diverse techniques together in one piece of art, and put them in complete harmony with each other! This is beautiful!!
