Got home weary and aching after a day on the fruit and veg at market, logged on and saw the challenge this week at Wednesday Stamper – shoes!! OMG… what to do? Lightbulb moment – glossy magazine, front index page, this cheeky image… Wonderful post today – a new stamp to play with.
Here’s my entry and can you guess where the stamped image came from and who it is?
Answer: Annapurna Jones (I love you!) and it’s my DD! She’s so photogenic and so uncooperative… but I love her. Angel/devil, teenage Diva, shoe-fanatic (Imelda Marcos, eat your heart out!), geek, dance-maniac, street-punk, street-wise savvy kid of great intelligence and huge heart – love her to bits (but I don’t always like her!!)
So, this stamp was made for me by my SBS12 sistah Anna, taken from a jpg of DD last year with plaits and sombre expression. I must thank Hermine Koster too, who sometimes features the stamped image of her darling son Max in her artwork, for inspiring me to emulate her (in my own fashion).
I think this GA is wistful and sassy at the same time and I love using red with black and white text. Thanks for looking!

/ December 17, 2008Yay! You got your stamps and you already used it. Turned out very nice. I love how you highlighted her hair with white marker.
I know exactly what you mean, by love her, but don’t always like her. I am sure our kids feel the same way towards us too 🙂
Just wait until she grows up to be 20 something and she will be your best friend or you will be her best friend.
Happy Holidays to you all!

/ December 19, 2008Oh Rosie, I LOVE it!! What a wonderful stamp! What a wonderful pic to choose for the stamp, too! I’ll never get tired of it, and I’m sure you never will, either! I have thought often about making a stamp of kid’s photo, inspired by Hermine’s Max, also! This is fabulous! Bravo!
