Yep, they’re back with Happy New Year as the first theme for 2009. Here’s my contribution:
The background is red fibre paper over white card stamped with script. I used black soot distress ink and it smudged delightfully as I applied glue stick to it!! Automatic distressing, I call that! The white lace trim is probably from an old petticoat.
Despite my dislike of peel-offs, I can’t bring myself to throw them away, and a good job too as I needed a little ‘fizz’ to finish this arch off. I used stars and dots in gold for that… I still dislike the fiddly little blighters though!
Thanks for looking! 🙂

/ January 5, 2009Wonderful arch Rosie, I like the touch of the stickers too. I used to feel the same way about them, but they’ve come a long way and I like using them now too! Love how you described your naturally smudged border…..I call that a flopportunity…..you’ll want to try that one again and again!

I’m blaming the nasty cold and flu bugs! I’ve missed LOTS of wonders on your blog, but am in eye-candy heaven right now looking at all the pieces you’ve been creating! Fabulous as always, Rosie!!
