Let’s face it – I always have lots to do… 😉 A new challenge blog to me, but already it’s week #9 and the challenge is to “Alter it” – alter anything! So I took a placemat I’ve had kicking around and altered it using acrylic paints and the African Stamps from Home Impressions.
This just needs a couple of coats of varnish and I’m sure Ria will find a use for it!! The stamps are fab quality – deeply etched – red rubber, unmounted and I placed them all on the painted sections till I was happy with the layout. I then used black stazon to stamp the images onto the paint. The doodles, etc. were done with Giotto metallic markers, a black sharpie and a white Sakura Gellyroll pen. Although the white doesn’t show bright when first applied, I think you’ll agree that it really hits you in the eye when it’s dry!!
I think this design will look good on fabric too, so that’s what I shall be trying next! 🙂
