What a gorgeous example Barbara showed here with her wonderful page for Mixed Media Monday… I have made a Springtime bookmark as a quick birthday gift for a friend. I have a really hectic time ahead of me for the rest of this month and I need my focus.
Apart from all the running around today, I have caught myself daydreaming a lot – there are too many projects I want to start and probably not enough days in which to do them (yet!), so I’m taking a leaf out of Kim Mailhot’s book – literally – and creating a doodle journal.
My friend Barbara sent me a wonderful handmade book – an On-The-Go mini art journal and it has already brought me luck… I had it with me the day we went to view the house we are moving to – in fact it was the first entry in my journal, so that’s an omen to me!! So that book is going to accompany me wherever I go – even fishing!
Speaking of which, the weather is so kind at the moment, Nick and I are going fishing tomorrow – him to practise for the big competition he’s in next month and me, well just for fun (and to give him some competition!!). I always catch – after all, I have the pheromones! 😉

/ March 17, 2009I really was at a loss for what to do with this week’s challenge at MMM but I like what you did with it. I was going to pass this week, but after seeing this, I’m thinking maybe I’ll participate after all! I love the idea of making a bookmark.
