Day 2. I have chosen Hermine Koster for her undoubted talent, her kindness and her enthusiasm. She is probably best know for her stamping artwork, which is always a treat for the eyes. But she enjoys altered art, making charms, cards and mixed media. We share a love of image transfers and recently shared information on inkjet water transfers to fabric. That was most interesting and emails went flying back and forth. It became a sort of ‘international incident’ as we involved Annette in Oz – who originally posted the video tutorial on her blog!
Funnily enough, Hermine is hosting today’s Wednesday Stamper challenge (Transfers!!), but she also recently had a book about her techniques and artwork published by Art Specially in The Netherlands. One of my most favourite things about Hermine is the range of stamps she designed for Joan Gevaert Rubber Stamps and Scrapbooking, using family members, including her son Max – who has the most engaging smile.
Do visit Hermine’s Place and enjoy the most inspiring artwork from a very talented lady… she thoroughly deserves this award!
