Purple texture…

It’s been a beautiful day here today and I have been nusy doing chores like 2 loads of washing; grooming the GSD (German Shepherd Dog); clipping the Yorkie; cooking and baking; and the dreaded housework… So, feeling pretty righteous, I decided to have a go at the “Texture Painting” challenge from Sandy at Saturday’s Workout.

Instead of gesso or paint, I made my texture layer with Polyfilla… and then applied paint! Fun and more fun!

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! I have a couple of things I need to catch up on and some serious pruning to do tomorrow morning in the front garden jungle!

  2. Rosie, you are indeed amazing! Your are Woman, hear you roar! All that activity on a Saturday makes me tired to think of. But then, you are about 1/2 my age.

I love your purple piece, even with its lack of wiping off and even with its use of polyfilla (whatever is that anyway?). Your texture is wonderful with very interesting designs.

What is pollyfilla by the way? Where can I get it? I love the way your purple piece turned out! Can you offer a tutorial on it? I love it!

  8. This is beautiful and I’d never have thought of using Polyfilla!
You asked about Kubivet – well it’s actually a Czech site but here are the instructions for getting one of her lovely kits.
Find the one you like and under where it says download click on ‘name of kit’.zip. This will take you to the download page. There you will see some numbers at the bottom which you type into the box and then click on ‘Stahnout soubor’. On the next page there is a seconds countdown and when this has finished the option to open, save, or cancel should appear and you can then download. If this doesn’t appear automatically – click on ‘zde’ and it should work then. Good Luck!!
