Metal Marie…. for Mixed Media Monday’s “Metallics” theme. I keep hearing T Rex singing ‘Metal Guru’ though! I have had a thing for slide mailers recently and this is one I made with Ten Two Studios products and some good old ‘bling’!
And the rest of it:
I have found that the biggest problem with adding little galleries, is that my blog takes a few minutes to “digest” the information and I then have to go back in and edit… a bit disjointed, but quite fun!!!
The “rubber stamp” used for the background is just the piece of foam from the handy-hole in a garden kneeling pad – if that makes sense? So I can’t take the credit for handcarving this one – hah!! 😉
I shall enjoy seeing all the different takes on this challenge later when I get back from my volunteering at the Scrapstore…

/ September 21, 2009I nearly came out on top, but you should see what I bought!! Some great pieces of fabric for future use… some plastic vinyl strip – 2m, some gorgeous deep purple cellophane, bostik glue and some poly balls to make Mummies with!! Just under £4.00 the lot – bargain!!

Lisa (Wright Stuff)
/ September 21, 2009This is very beautiful and quite charming. However, I feel I am missing out because (loathe though I am to admit it), I don’t actually know what a ‘slide mailer’ is! Perhaps I should go google it…
Rosie
/ September 21, 2009It’s the cardboard protector that microscope slides are mailed in Lisa!!! Someone somewhere obviously thought it’d be a good idea to alter them/tart them up…. 😉
