Metal Marie….

Metal Marie…. for Mixed Media Monday’s “Metallics” theme. I keep hearing T Rex singing ‘Metal Guru’ though! I have had a thing for slide mailers recently and this is one I made with Ten Two Studios products and some good old ‘bling’!

And the rest of it:

I have found that the biggest problem with adding little galleries, is that my blog takes a few minutes to “digest” the information and I then have to go back in and edit… a bit disjointed, but quite fun!!!

The “rubber stamp” used for the background is just the piece of foam from the handy-hole in a garden kneeling pad – if that makes sense? So I can’t take the credit for handcarving this one – hah!! 😉

I shall enjoy seeing all the different takes on this challenge later when I get back from my volunteering at the Scrapstore

For some reason the big photo is absent (for me), but those three small ones are just lovely. Bravo.

  12. This is very beautiful and quite charming. However, I feel I am missing out because (loathe though I am to admit it), I don’t actually know what a ‘slide mailer’ is! Perhaps I should go google it…

    • It’s the cardboard protector that microscope slides are mailed in Lisa!!! Someone somewhere obviously thought it’d be a good idea to alter them/tart them up…. 😉
