The Three Muses – “Numerology” – this week… I’ve created a journal page about Age and Ageism, which really bugs me. I dislike prejudice in any form and I think it’s very disheartening that people judge you based on your age in Real Life. One of the reasons I enjoy blogging so much is that it really has no bearing what age you are…
Yep, I’m 51 years old! Using numerology (she says, tongue-in-cheek), that means I’m 6 – I can live with that! I’ll throw more tantrums, stamp my feet and not feel at all guilty about it! What I’ve actually written though, in case you can’t read my scrawl, is:
“It’s only my age… Ain’t no biggie! Sing the Song of Life… I’ve never understood the whole “age” thing anyway, so I’ll just continue to be me. As long as I’m breathing, life is there to be lived!”
“I so hate “ageism”… >.< Winds me up. >.<
Numeral stamps are huge numbers from MaVinci’s Reliquary. I love being an artist – I get to play a lot, just like any other six year old! 😉

/ October 6, 2009You’re young, Rosie! I, too, dislike prejudice of any kind. What’s in a number . . . wrinkles??? Hah!
Thanks for sharing. Have a creative day!

/ October 7, 2009Rosie, your journal page is absolutely fantastic! It’s beautiful, and it has a very important message – you are SO right in what you say about age. Yesterday I was supervising a group of old ladies in a seniors’ home (I go there twice a month for a crafting session), we were making jewellery and talking and laughing – and the average age of these ladies is 80+! Yes, age is nothing but a (meaningless) number.

/ October 7, 2009Lovely page Rosie – I’m 47 – at age 46, 10 years ago, my sister died – I’d rather be 47 than not! Although I do feel my age sometimes – lol!

/ October 7, 2009Oh, Rosie, you’re talking to a soul sister!! I’m reading all the comments with a smile……because I”M over 10 in cat years (think about that)! I love your art piece, and of course I love its message! Yesterday I had lunch with 6 long-time friends, the youngest of us is 73 and the eldest 84. We meet for lunch and laughter every month, and we STILL have joi de vivre! We’re “singin’ the song of life:. Good page. Well said blog friend!

/ October 7, 2009Rosie, your piece is thoughtful, beautifully composed and very creative. Your initial statement, above your picture, hit a chord with me as I am in the senior bracket. How true that there is one place on the planet where age doesn’t matter and that is the Blog! This is such a stylish piece with loads of wisdom. I love it!
