What was she thinking?

Mixed Media Monday – challenge this week…. And that is exactly what went through my head when I saw a photo of Tracy Emin’s “Unmade Bed”. £25,000 worth of unmade bed to be frank. I wish my unmade bed was worth that much. No, seriously! I bet Ms Emin was thinking “Oh sh*t! I’m late with my submission, but last night was so worth it… I know – I’ll enter the essence of last night. It’ll be fine. I’ll get away with it because it’s ART.”

So when I saw Diane’s catchy phrase, I just went with the flow. I’ve been too lacklustre and lifeless, drained of energy by this recurring virus to make anything really, that would even pass for art, but here’s “So you think too fast?”

If you went out like this, you’d definitely have thought too fast, not thought it through at all, eh? I think at a hell of a speed sometimes. I find myself thinking on two parallels at once whilst having a conversation with my family at the same time. They only catch on when a train of thought pops out as speech and they accuse me of not listening!! Does that happen to you too?

I think these wacky collages happen when I’m parallel-thinking. I turn over future projects and designs in my head as I’m happily painting and gluing, doodling and shading… Maybe that’s why my desk is once again a sorry mess of pens and glue sticks, papers and stamps?
