Vilene Tiles ATCs

I took part in an ATC swap on UK Art Swaps Group and the brief was to make 3 atcs using craft vilene tiles… First we had to get some craft or pelmet vilene (stiffener), paint it thickly with gesso and make lines in it with a brush or pen. Then we had to make a motif in the thick gesso using a kebab or cocktail stick.

Next, we were to spray the nearly dry gesso with paint (I only have inks – no problem!) and then use black ink to outline the motifs. Let dry and finish off with dimensional or acrylic paint. Cut up the tiles and make three ATCs with the bits…

Hello Birdy!

(I like the shadow effect beneath this one, so I’m entering it for the latest “Fun With ATCs” challenge!)

Where did you get that hat?!

I’m still stitching on atcs!!

Little Old Blue Eyes!

It’s possible that these aren’t exactly what the recipe asks for, but I hope my swap partner likes them!

I am having huge fun today: It’s my birthday and I asked my DD to make me a couple of music CDs for the car that I would like to listen to, as most of those I have are her music (!!)… and I have the first one playing as I sit here typing up this post and I have been chair-boogying! Hugely embarrassing should anyone catch me at it, but something had to give as the “silent singing” was killing me! Lol! 😀
