Woo! Spent the day at home today, busy (as usual!) but in a good way. I have trapped a nerve in my neck somewhere and have a ‘frozen’ shoulder as a result. It aches like a demon and sitting still isn’t comfortable either. Distraction and caution (plus pain meds) are the answer, plus a few specific exercises from the Doc. Unfortunately, sitting at my PC is crucifying, and I try not to post too much, but hey! It appears that this is a common complaint amongst the arty-crafty fraternity… I wonder why?!!
Theme Thursday intrigued me this week – 2″x4″ artwork…I’ve been prepping lots of goodies for Tintagel Market – starts next Thursday – and avoiding paint for the most part. I was making a bookmark this evening as a gift for an artsy friend, using a sandwich technique I saw over at Belinda’s blog. She often inspires me because she’s always doing something different! So, I thought I’d make the sandwich of paper and fabric and fibres, etc. and then cut it to size – 2″x4″.
When push came to shove, I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t decide where to cut it, only that I didn’t really want to! So the book mark stays intact to be posted tomorrow, and here’s a piece of quiltie sandwich (image from Collage Visions, I believe), which measures 2″x4″:
Ann and the All-seeing eye are under plastic film, stitched on. I so love the feel of that!
