Nature’s awakening…

What a lovely title for a theme over at TMTA this week! I have been busy (as usual!), working with DH on a rebuild of a client’s website, working on my own crafty creations – ruffling the ruffle flower pins, putting the house domino/arrow pendants together and creating another project for a magazine submission… I am also playing around with my own style of fabric and paper, etc. cuffs.

I have made this little ATC for TMTA this evening though, using more of the paper, water, ink cards as a background, then overstamping it with an Anita’s flower stamp in green and black. I added the text stamp, stuck down a scrap of green leather at the corner, and stitched on some french book text (stamped!), a scrap of lace – duly ruffled – and a stamped fabric flower. I had to dye the brad green with alcohol ink as it was a very bright powder blue – not a good match!

make each day one to remember

NB: I can’t believe I wrote the wrong text!!!

I promise to show off the pendants as soon as I have time to take pics and will also post about the cuffs, with sneaky peeks of my progress! In the meantime, I made a really sweet little pink bird’s nest charm after watching a video that Patty (Magpie’s Nest) posted a link to on her blog… fun! And, my BFF Barbara has a super-duper tutorial on her blog – in picture form – of how to make nested flowers without a die-cutting machine!
