Rust, rusted, rusty?

Bev, of the Three Muses has challenged us to use rust in some creative way this week. I have hardly played at 3M since I started college, and the summer season, so being ill this week has had its compensations for me! I found time this evening to do 3 things that I love:

1. add more elements to another mixed media/textile quiltie sandwich – ultimately to be cut up!!

2. add some flowers, leather and green stuff to an altered bamboo placemat project that I started last summer!! And…

3. create a collage in my LTS journal, using my favourite “rusty” colour – Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold.

Love is... Backordered 6 July 2010

Apart from getting paint all over my fingers and ink too, I had a lot of fun using a business stamp we’ve had gathering dust, for years. Hence the Love is… and then Backordered 6 Jul 2010!! It’s really cool for random phrasing…

Apart from the colour, the only thing that’s rustier in all this, is… ME!! I am promising myself some more frequent playtime once college is over, for sure. Then we’ll see just how rusty I really am… 😉

  7. Wonderfully creative, Rosie, and full of yummy color and detail. I have to say it’s a shame love is on backorder, though. Let’s hope the supply gets bumped up so there’s enough for everyone!!! (Clever little whimsical touch it was, though). Good work!
