Bring me sunshine…

Used to be the “Morecambe & Wise” song, didn’t it? Today and the last couple of days actually, have been lovely winter days here… Cold but sunny. In the sunshine itself it’s warm, but when that wind blew, I really felt the cold! Hence this photo:

Upcycled... and shabby-chic'd!

And as I wanted to “come out”, here’s the model, blinking in that sunshine!

It really was so sunny I couldn’t look directly at the camera because “someone” wanted clear shots! We took these for my Etsy shop – listed 2 pairs of long, upcycled fingerless gloves, with shabby-chic fabric flowers and gorgeous orange beads stitched onto them. Both are finished differently, both by hand, which is something I felt inspired to do after reading Annekata’s blog. She’s amazing – she handstitches everything she makes! Love that, and I must admit that I got the strangest feeling of satisfaction from picking up and handstitching the beads and the seams, aswell as making those little fabric flower embellies. How cool is that? 🙂

Here’s someone else who really doesn’t like having his photo taken:

Thor

Whereas this one just performs really well, doesn’t she? She could hear us talking and came to the window to investigate…

Most things (including the cat), are bigger than Millie. 😉

  3. Ooohhh.. lovely gloves! I’ve been wanting to knit a pair for myself (to wear at the computer – really! I’m such a ‘koukleum’- which is dutch and I can’t translate… the words ‘cold’ and ‘shiver’ together said for a person…)
anyway, we had the same weather here and it’s COLD! I hope higher temperatures will blow our way fast! Enjoy your weekend dear!
