For Sunday Postcard Art this week: “Mothers”… I used some of the handmade paper that got tie-dyed when I was out in the garden playing with fabric. I just added a little orange and yellow to it and then used the Cherish and architecture stamps behind the “Queen”.
Sealed with a coat of Liquid Polymer Gloss… and a Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums celebrating it this Sunday – hope you enjoy the day! 😉
Making this card gave me a break from all the tiny charms I have been making from that Inchy sheet! Aswell as the fabric inchies – 2 of which have been finished and made into bag charms, I have made some for earrings, some for charms and lots of round inchies from before have also been use to make charms… Will show you when they are all safely dry. I have been gulity of not waiting long enough in the past and spoiling some really pretty charms.
I created this sheet today too – so that I could play around with the sizes of images for dominos, twinchies, altered game tiles, etc. It’s so bright and cheery, isn’t it?!!
I shall be trying these out tomorrow. I’ve got a bit of neck ache at the moment and I want to sit and watch “So you think you can dance…” and relax for a while. (Obviously I shall be doing something while I watch telly, but I’m not sure what yet!)

/ April 2, 2011Seems like you can whip stuff out and do such a wonderful job..I would like your secret..Is your work area well organized? my work space shrinks till I am using less than 1/4 of the area. Must go may it neat and wonderful.. it will be a wonder if I ever get that acheived. I very much admire your style and love the lettering for Queen Mum.. which of course reminds me of our Heather, that lives in Walsall. Thank you for inspiring us wanna bes and I am sure many that have arrived.

/ April 2, 2011My “work area” is the landing at the top of the stairs – a gateleg table and an ironing board!. I also take stuff downstairs and sit with a tray on the sofa! I have a good “work ethic” nowadays…I am not at all neat, but I do have lots of transparent plastic boxes, so I spend less time losing stuff! 😉
