Chrysalis emerging…

For Sunday Postcard ArtThings with wings!

This is a hybrid postcard – my altered painted background (previously used in sepia tones); the face I finished painting this evening was sketched earlier this week; and lots of brushes and layers on Photoshop. I also found a great site where I learned how to draw basic wings… HERE.

  10. I love your ‘thing’ with wings… the ‘pointed stars/shapes’ looks like hawkbit fluff??? (Djeez…I looked that up, is that really the right word?)

    • I have no idea Marit, lol! However, if you mean something to do with Moths, then probably, because that’s the effect I was aiming for. It’s easier with a paintbrush for me, than with a digital brush, I’m afraid!!

  16. SO BEAUTIFUL! As always Rosie, you have some of the most wonderful mixes and blends of blues and violets! Her purple eyes are deep and haunting, and her face is so beautifully expressive. I see a captivating combination of sadness and peacefulness. Her expression really draws me in.
