Gothic Arches today: “Cities“. I have a great stamp of New York and had this piece stamped from earlier this year, just sitting in a box on my desk. The background is inks over gesso on glossy cardstock… I did struggle to use it as an arch without going OTT with embellishments, so it’s quite basic, but looking at it today, I think it has a bit of Bo-Ho chic?
The book page it’s mounted on is a little treasure I found at a charity shop, with photoplates of the nurses tending the wounded during the First World War. It’s a very poignant read…

/ August 23, 2009superb background, love the colours and as for that stamped collage ( or is it one gorgeous stamp?)
I think you’d ruin it if you put more embellishments on.
amazing and humbling to read what those nurses were up to in those days. def. no 9-5 mentality there
