1950s Pin-Ups

I love Cheesecake art and Pop art and the 1950s pin-ups as a theme this week at Sunday Postcard Art is right up my street! (My “feeling blue” postcard made it into last week’s sampler, which is so cool!)

Vargas and Elvgren...

Aren’t they cute, sassy and sexy? The background is a postcard I made in one of my handmade art journals where the pages are different sizes and fold in on each other. They make no sense but are a really fun way to use up different-sized card/heavyweight papers. The red and orange paints are Tempra watercolours – I like them for backgrounds because they’re so vivid!

The images are Googled and the stamped word “Art” is one of Robin’s – MaVinci images.
